 November 25: Drumming workshop

Today we headed off to Sebas for a drumming workshop.  It was a great day for everyone - though there were some sore hands part way through.  Here's a link here to a short clip while we investigate better ways to run videos.

Oct 23: Last Tuesday, we all arrived at the Ballarat station early to catch the train to Melbourne to visit Scienceworks.  It was a fun trip down with everyone chatting and checking out the scenery. At Scienceworks, we had some time in the Planetarium where we learned about the seasons as well as the stars in the Ballarat sky at the moment.  We also learned how to find south using the southern cross.   The thing that most students (and staff) seemed to enjoy was at the Sportswork exhibition.  There were gadgets for measuring fitness as well as fun activites related to sport.   You can read a bit more about the trip on the student web pages - as they are uploaded.  Enyonam has made a start to hers.

About us: "Ballarat ESL Centre" is the focus for learning English as a Second Language that takes place on a number of sites in Ballarat.  There are classes at the Macarthur Street Primary School as well as classes at Barkly Campus of Ballarat Secondary College and Sebastopol College.  Some of the teachers also visit students at other schools in the area.

This site will be a place where students can share ideas about topics being studied in class.  They can also work together in creating responses to many tasks.

This wiki will focus on students at the senior Campus sharing their writing .... and in working out how to use files effectively.

Creating a word wall requires using a number of resources including the internet and class dictionaries.  oh ... and a lot of concentration as well.
